NICHOLS CANYON RESIDENCE
West Hollywood, Los Angeles

A ground-up redevelopment and architectural expansion of a 1923 Old Hollywood residence in lower Nichols Canyon, now nearing completion. With the exception of the original front façade and period windows, which were carefully preserved to maintain the home’s historic street presence, the residence was taken down and rebuilt as a full-scale development.
The result is a thoughtful restoration and expansion that honors the character of the original home while introducing a more elevated, modern living experience. The project includes an entirely new second story, complex A-frame steelwork supporting the dramatic roofline, triangular windows, and vaulted interior volumes, along with expanded living space, bespoke detailing, new baths, a fully redesigned kitchen, and a seamless connection to the private garden, pool, and outdoor entertaining areas.
