A 1963 ranch in the hills of the San Fernando Valley taken down to the studs with for a complete renovation San Fernando Valley Mid-Century Modern Renovation This 1963 ranch home in the hills of the San Fernando Valley underwent a major down-to-the-studs renovation, transforming the property into a refined, highly customized residence while preserving the spirit of its mid-century architecture. The project included an expanded kitchen, extensive custom millwork and cabinetry, upgraded finishes, and a full interior refresh shaped by the client and designer’s vision for a cleaner, more modern way of living. While the home was completely reworked, the design remained rooted in its original character, carrying forward mid-century motifs through warmer materials, thoughtful proportions, and a more elevated palette.
